A frustrating scrape turned into a smooth fix

I needed Bumper Scratch Repair after a awkward moment left a fresh mark on my car, but what followed was a much easier than expected fix that restored the look.

It happened near Heaton Park on a crowded afternoon when I slightly clipped a low barrier while parking. The scratch looked worse up close, and I knew it would ruin the look if left.

Later that evening, I started checking reviews and came across AutoScratch. The site felt easy to follow, so I sent over a few photos and a quick note. I got a reply fairly quickly with a quote that seemed reasonable, and we arranged a flexible time.

On the day, the technician arrived as agreed and walked me through the process in a friendly way. First, the damaged area was carefully wiped down to remove any dirt. Then came the sanding, which evened the surface. A small amount of filler was used since the scratch had a slight depth, and once that set, the colour matching began. I was impressed by how closely they matched the paint, it looked very close. The blending process followed, where the new paint was evenly worked into the surrounding Bumper Scratch Repair area so there were no harsh lines. Finally, everything was polished, giving it a clean shine. Watching each step made me realise how much detail goes into what seems like a simple repair.

Once it was all done, the scratch was basically invisible unless I really looked for it. The whole experience felt easy to manage, especially since I did not need to leave home. The turnaround was efficient, and the workmanship was clearly careful. That said, I do think this kind of service is best for smaller issues rather than anything too severe. For my situation though, it worked out exactly how I needed, and driving past Manchester Piccadilly Station again without noticing the scratch felt like a small win.
